My work sits at the intersection of technology diffusion, institutional change, and how organisations actually adapt—as distinct from how they describe their adaptation. A client once called it seeing around corners; mostly it’s asking what you’d expect to see next, given what you’ve already noticed.
Most of the interesting failures happen in that gap—between what an organisation says it’s doing and what it’s actually doing. That’s usually where I want to look first.
